Maybelline Mascara

Every girl wants to have long, luscious lashes and while we wish we were born with it, a little help from Maybelline New York never hurt.  On a college budget it's important to get the most for your money.  Here are some things to think about next time you see these popular Maybelline mascara on the shelf.

Lash Stiletto Voluptuous

The first home run this product hits is that it does what its name implies! It gives the appearance of thicker, fuller lashes while adding some length.  It's perfect if you already have long lashes, as this will make them stand out more.  The formula is nice and light so it doesn't weigh down on lashes and the unique wand shape allows for precise and thorough coverage.  Any mascara can clump but this particular product won't to as often as others.  Some other great advantages are that it doesn't usually leave fall-out under the eye after application (no waiting for it to dry before you blink!) and it also won't need to be reapplied throughout the day!

Falsies Volume Express

Right off the bat I have a few complaints about this particular product.  The biggest is that the formula is very heavy and wet. It takes a while to dry and in that time it usually leaves fall-out both above and below the eye.  This formula tends to clump a lot if not applied correctly and the wand shape makes it difficult to be precise and coat those inner and outer corner lashes easily. I wouldn't recommend it be used on lower lashes at all.

This product does, to some degree, do what it says it will. If applied correctly and carefully it can give the appearance of darker, thicker ‘false' lashes, but as the day goes on the heavy formula will pull out the curl that it initially provides.

Great Lash Waterproof

This mascara is one that I would suggest every college girl have in her makeup bag purely because of its simplicity.  The formula is light, doesn't clump or smudge easily and won't leave fall-out under your eyes! It's great for days when you don't have time to hassle with special formula mascara that require careful and calculated application.  Overall it's nothing really all that special but just something simple and basic that doesn't break the bank that's good to have on hand!
