Alice Eve and Krysten Ritter sat down recently to discuss their new film "She's Out of My League," – set to hit cinemas March 12, 2010. The film is about Kirk (Jay Baruchel) and his new relationship with Molly (Alice Eve), who is way out of his league dating wise.
Ritter described the promotion for the movie as "full on. We get up in the morning really early and do radio shows. Then we do some TV, then get on a plane to the next city. It's hectic, but pretty fun."
Eve, a Britain native, said it wasn't that hard to adjust to an American accent.
"I grew up in California, I went to school there. But I find your accent very hard to do," she admitted with a laugh. Yeah, our accents are that good, British people can't do them. "American TV shows are over there, so all our TV shows have people with American accents."
When talking about working with veteran funny man Jay Baruchel, Eve described the experience as "great" adding, "He isn't as socially awkward as he seems."
Ritter, one of the stars of "Breaking Bad" on AMC, said the only real difference between filming movies and TV is that "TV is much quicker. There is great material and creative voices on cable television. things can be true to what they start out at as. I found some very interesting stuff in ‘Breaking Bad' and a new show called ‘Gravity' about suicide. It keeps things quicker."
Since the movie is about awkward dating situations, naturally the pair talked about their most awkward dating story.
"I saw this girl get up in the middle of the date and go to the restroom. She came out and just ran to a cab" Eve said laughing. Added Ritter: "I haven't been on a date in a long time."
