B's Start Second Half of Season With 4-3 Win Over Senators
1/31/12 6:02 PM
End of game: After a lousy 2nd period, the B’s bounced back with a two goal effort in the third to give them the 4-3 victory over the Senators. Boston now has 66 points this season but will remain in second place of the Eastern Conference. Stay tuned for post-game quotes from the players and coaches. 3rd period, 11:48: The B’s are being outshot, 29-28, but are still hanging onto this 4-3 lead. Boston is 21-0-0 this season when scoring four or more goals in a game. Time to pack up? 3rd period, 7:09: Bruins goal! Dennis Seidenberg with a deep snipe that somehow snuck by Craig Anderson. That would have definitely been an easy save for Roberto Luongo. In other news, Joe Corvo now has two assists tonight. Boston leads 4-3. 3rd period, 2:20: Bruins goal! Brad...Patriots Arrive in Indy for Super Bowl XLVI
1/29/12 7:49 PM
While most of the NFL’s big names are in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl, the Patriots superstars are in Indianapolis as they prepare for Super Bowl XLVI. The Pats had a rally Sunday morning at Gillette Stadium where an estimated 25,000 fans sent the AFC Champs off to the airport. Within an hour of landing in Indy, a cheerful Bill Belichick stepped to the podium addressing the ‘generosity’ his team (who is practicing at the Colts facilities) might receive, stating, "I've never had too much hospitality here. Not until I went for it on fourth and 2.” While the Giants are yet to arrive in Indianapolis (scheduled to arrive Monday afternoon), New England is already set to practice. They will begin practicing on Monday, have Tuesday off and then continue their...Marc Savard Returns to TD Garden, Addresses Media
1/21/12 1:32 PM
BOSTON -- Marc Savard was excited to be back at the Garden Saturday for the Bruins matchup against the Rangers. "I miss being out there, that’s for sure, but just being around the crowd and being in the atmosphere’s going to feel nice. But I do really feel good just being in the building today," said Savard in a brief press conference prior to the game. Savard has donated a luxury suite at the Garden for pediatric patients at Children's Hospital Boston with a focus on children suffering from the effects of head trauma. ...Rich Peverley Skates, will be Game-Time Decision as Bruins Prepare to Host the Oilers
11/15/11 2:29 PM
The Bruins are trying to keep their winning streak going tonight as they host the Edmonton Oilers. After a slow start to the season, Boston is 3-0 in the month of November but they realize that there is still some work to be done. "We are doing things better but we didn't have a good start of the season and we dug ourselves into a big hole and are now just climbing out of it," said Zdeno Chara. "We need to win as many as possible to be where we want to be." The B's will be without Daniel Paille tonight as he remains day-to-day due to recent surgery. Claude Julien said that he saw Paille this morning and he is feeling much better but it is still unclear when he will return with the team. Benoit Pouliot will replace Paille tonight on the fourth line...Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski Getting ‘Hyped’ on Saturday Night
10/23/11 12:40 AM
When all else fails, turn to Twitter! Despite being on a bye week, the New England Patriots still found a way to make some noise. On Saturday night, porn star BiBi Jones tweeted that she was getting “hyped” with Rob Gronkowski. The term hyped is one that Gronk uses a lot on Twitter so it’s not a big deal, right? Well ... BiBi also attached a picture to her tweet. Take a look for yourself. Gronkowski without a shirt is not surprising. Gronkowski without a shirt, alongside a porn star wearing his jersey, in what seems to be an empty room; that’s unexpected. Can’t really tell from the picture but who knows if she is even wearing anything under that jersey. My guess -- given her profession -- is no. ...
