Noche Caliente:

The Student Government Association is co-sponsoring SUHA's Noche Caliente Thursday, April19th at 9pm in the Hyatt. The theme for this event is Fire & Ice, semi-formal, white and red attire suggested. The event is free of charge, non-Suffolk guests are allowed. Food will be served, music by DJ Lus. Make sure to come out and dance!

Day of Silence: 

Diversity Services is holding their day of silence this Wednesday, April 18th. This is a day of action where those who support making ati-LGBTQ bias unacceptable in schools take a day-long vow of silence to recognize and protest the discrimination and harassment - in effect, the silencing experienced by the LGBTQ students and their allies. Tuesday, April 10th 2012:

The Annual Student Government Association Leadership Awards were held at the Ritz Carlton this past Tuesday. The event was a success and many went hope happy with their awards. LEAP Conference:

SGA is co-sponsoring the LEAP conference this Friday, April 13th through Saturday, April 14th. This overnight trip will be held at the Cape Codder resort in Hyannis, MA. In this conference, new club officers will trained on how to run their organization effectively!

Student Government Association Leadership Awards:

The Student Government Association Leadership Awards are held annually to recognize students, staff and faculty that have gone above and beyond their call of duty. SGA forms a committee of students and works all year to bring this event to the Suffolk Community, in order to highlight those who put in more work and effort than they are asked. The event will be held this Tuesday, April 10th at the Ritz Carlton Downtown. Friday, February 24th:

The Retention Scholars hosted their first annual Cultural Pageant. They brought the community together, showcasing the diversity on campus. The students in the pageant did a great job showing their culture, where they come from, and how it impacts Suffolk Community. It was a wonderful event where a lot of organizations came together, and even President McCarthy made an appearance!

Wednesday, February 8th:

First annual dodge-ball tournament, hosted by Sigma Alpha Epsilon, SUNORMAL, and the Student Government Association, was a huge success.  The event was held on February 8th in the Ridgeway Gym.  Fourteen teams came out for the chance to win five Celtics tickets, and team P.I.P, comprised of five members of the Suffolk Basketball team, took them home. Approximately 100 people came out to watch or play and it was a great time for all involved.
