There is never a problem finding a great place to eat in Boston. This city is a mecca of great sports bars, pubs, Italian eateries, steak houses, etc. However as a college student, the problem comes with finding a great place to eat that is very affordable. No need to worry guys, I’ve done the work for you, not to mention as an added bonus for those of us who are 21, this place has a nice selection of imported beers.
The place is Silvertone Bar and Grill, located right around the corner from the Law School on Bromfield Street. Now, the best part about this place is it feels like home. Not just because the menu offers basic American comfort food, but the atmosphere is cozy and casual, and the service is excellent.
The menu consists of steak tips, homemade macaroni and cheese, burgers, Shepard’s Pie, and an array of soups and standard bar appetizers like calamari and chicken wings. The portions were generous and the prices are great; there wasn’t anything on the menu for over $20!
It is definitely a place worth experiencing and has been awarded “The Best of Boston 2008” by Boston Magazine. So, if you're looking for a great place to eat that will fill you up without emptying your wallet, look no further than Silvertone Bar and Grill.
