Profile of a gun nut

As you might have already guessed, I think that these gun control laws are a real drag on Boston's - scratch that, America in general's - prosperity as a land of the free and home of the brave. I mean, if I want to collect firearms for their novelty, and maybe to shoot a few turkeys that have been trespassing on my apartment, who does the government think they are to say I can't?
Politicians also seem to forget about the more practical use of guns. I am of course referring to their use in self defense against criminals. Let's face it, there
will always be degenerate troublemakers trying to take advantage of good people.
When the savages do, I just want to be ready to stop them, ideally by stooping
to their level, giving into bloodlust, and busting some caps before they can do
the same to me - this, ladies and gentlemen, is the only foolproof answer. Forget about asking yourself why people feel the need to commit heinous crimes and
helping them discover more appropriate alternatives, because lepers can't
change their sores.
Sorry, did that last comment sound callous? That's too bad, because as much as some goodie-two-shoes deny it, guns are the answer to all of the world's social
problems. Ultimately, the pen is not mightier than the sword, because no one
messes with someone who's holding a gun, but nerds get beaten up every day. And
that is why laws that stop people from carrying guns are backwards.
