For the past month, the Student Government Association board chose Senator Billy Cerullo as Senator of the Month for his great contributions throughout the November. Going above and beyond expectations, the government major has stood out of the organization both during and outside of the weekly meetings.
"I feel it is important to stand up and represent the student body as a whole. I take my role very seriously, and try as best as possible to place my own personal opinions aside when taking into account the well-being of the student body in its entirety."
The sophomore from Millis, MA is an active member as a Senator for the Class of 2014, as well as member of the Student Affairs Committee.
Cerullo has built strong leadership skills and is putting them to great use in Student Government Association, hoping to continue building them in the near future as a teacher or holding a position in the government.
He is optimistic about the organization's path and direction in the future and its crucial role in the community.
"For the future of SGA, I hope that more and more students will take part in the organization, whether formally or informally. Furthermore, I hope that many students will realize the significant and dedicated role that Student Government Association plays in regards to Suffolk University."
Aside from being closely involved with the organization, Cerullo is a volunteer for the Alternative Spring Break program, and tutors at an organization off-campus.
Congratulations to Billy Cerullo: Senator of the Month
