This week, SGA Treasurer Mitch Vieira talked in-studio with the Voice's Ben Fountain about his candidacy for president of the Student Government Association in this spring's elections.
In the interview, Vieira said that his run as SGA treasurer has given him "fantastic experience" and the "appropriate leadership skills necessary" to step into the role as SGA President. Vieira also spoke of the importance of reaching out to student organizations and the student body.
"We have to constantly make sure we're doing our outreach to student organizations and that we're there representing them properly, hearing their questions, comments, and concerns," he said. "And as far as the regular, everyday student, we certainly need to make that a priority next year"
SGA Elections run March 8 to 10.
