The night of Sunday, January 22nd comedian-actor Tracy Morgan was rushed to the Park City Medical Center located in Park City, Utah Morgan was in town at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival to receive the Spotlight Initiative Award and for the screening of his film Predisposed (starring Morgan, Jesse Eisenberg and Melissa Leo) Audience members claim that Morgan was disorientated during his acceptance speech, and at the dinner he was, "out of control, yelling and falling onto the ground". After this unruly show of character he was escorted off of the premises of the award hall.
Morgan passed out at the Blue Iguana restaurant in Utah shortly after his leaving the Sundance Festival.
Rumors swirled that the recovering alcoholic was drinking again which lead to his behavior at the dinner. Hospital reps at the Park City Medical Center clarified that Morgan had no traces of alcohol and drugs in his system when admitted into the hospital. Morgan's personal rep, with conformation from the Hospital rep, released that the "30 Rock" star passed out due to a combination of exhaustion and exposure to Park City's 7,000 feet high altitude. Morgan's diabetes could have also played a part in his passing out.
Last year Morgan had to miss a string of episodes in "30 Rock" after a kidney transplant.
After his spell on Sunday Morgan returned to New York to continue shooting for his show "30 Rock" on Wednesday of this week.
Morgan tweeted to his loyal followers:
"Superman ran into a little kryptonite"
Along with:
"The high altitude in Utah shook up this kid from Brooklyn"
Since the scare Morgan is reportedly doing fine, and apologizes for how he acted at the Sundance festival saying that he wasn't himself that night. Hopefully this hilarious "Superman" realizes his limits next time.
