After seven weeks in the NFL, the NFC has proven to be faster, stronger and better than the AFC. Four of our top five and seven of our top ten teams are in the NFC. For the mathematicians out there, that's roughly half of the the NFC in our top ten. See where your team stands in the week eight power rankings.

NFL Power Rankings: Week 8

32. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5): In six games, the Jaguars have scored 88 points, worst in the NFL. That's roughly 15 points a game. -RT

31. Kansas City Chiefs (1-5): Matt Cassel filled in for Tom Brady in 2008 when he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Just four years later, Cassel is being replaced by Brady … Quinn that is. -AD

30. Cleveland Browns (1-6): The Browns lost at Indianapolis, but 29-year-old rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden is allowing the Browns to compete late in games. -RT

29. Carolina Panthers (1-5): Cam Newton spoke and the Panthers listened. After their 19-14 loss to the Cowboys, Newton said something had to change and the next day they fired general manager Marty Hurney. Enough with the blame game now. -AD

28. Oakland Raiders (2-4): Denarius Moore has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy owners. Other than that, there is little to say about a team that is rough to watch. -RT

27. Buffalo Bills (3-4): Much needed bye week for Buffalo after what Chris Johnson did to them on Sunday. Unfortunately for the Bills, their next two games are on the road at Houston and New England. Circle those wagons! -AD

26. Tennessee Titans (3-4): The Titans have won two consecutive games and Chris Johnson has rushed for 286 rushing yards, two touchdowns while averaging 7.94 yards per carry. -RT

25. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-4): Tampa Bay could have used a set of replacement officials on Sunday against New Orleans. Instead, here they are with a couple of lousy wins. -AD

24. New Orleans Saints (2-4): After losing four straight, the Saints have won two straight. A win at Denver could change the landscape of the Saints season. -RT

23. St. Louis Rams (3-3): Last time a team played the Patriots in Wembley Stadium they lost 35-7. Good luck, Rams. -AD

22. Indianapolis Colts (3-3): With a fairly easy schedule, it's very possible for Andrew Luck and Indianapolis to steal a wild card spot in the feeble AFC. -RT

21. Cincinnati Bengals (3-4): After winning three consecutive games, Cincinnati is now on a three-game losing streak. Bye week couldn't have come at a better time for the Bengals. -AD

20. Philadelphia Eagles (3-3): Jacksonville has the worst offense in the league. Philadelphia has the second worst. Plenty of talent, but not enough production. -RT

19. San Diego Chargers (3-3): San Diego has lost to all the good teams they've played this season. Luckily for them, their next opponent is the Cleveland Browns. -AD

18. Detroit Lions (2-4): The Lions need to evolve their offense. Defenses are double teaming Calvin Johnson and daring Matthew Stafford to beat them with his other weapons. -RT

17. New York Jets (3-4): The Jets lost to the Texans by six points and to the Patriots by three. Yes, they're still losses, but keeping those games close is impressive when you have a quarterback like Mark Sanchez. -AD

16. Washington Redskins (3-4): As amazing as RGIII has been, the Redskins defense has been dreadfully awful. -RT
