Who imagined that after eight weeks the Dolphins and Seahawks would have better records than the Saints and Eagles? It's been a crazy season thus far. So crazy that the Indianapolis Colts are getting closer to the Top Ten while the New York Jets are slipping more each week.
NFL Power Rankings: Week 9
32. Kansas City Chiefs (1-6): Brady Quinn has been ruled out of Thursday's game after suffering a head injury in Sunday's loss to Oakland. That experiment worked out well for Kansas City, eh? Back to Matt Cassel. -AD
31. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6): Jacksonville can't average 164 passing yards a game and expect to win. -RT
30. Carolina Panthers (1-6): The Panthers held Chicago to 210 total yards and forced three turnovers, yet they still lost. Maybe the defense isn't the problem in Carolina. -AD
29. Cleveland Browns (2-6): Trent Richardson is a workhorse. His effort alone will push the Browns to three more wins this year. -RT
28. Buffalo Bills (3-4): Tough road ahead for the Bills, literally. It all begins this Sunday against Mario Williams' old team - the Houston Texans. -AD
27. Tennessee Titans (3-5): Chris Johnson's game has stepped up, but it has been a detriment to the rest of the offense. -RT
26. San Diego Chargers (3-4): This is more than just the typical early struggles for the Chargers. Not sure what the issue is, but a 7-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns is absolutely pathetic. -AD
25. Philadelphia Eagles (3-4): It's playoffs or bust for Andy Reid. -RT
24. St. Louis Rams (3-4): Rams are on a three game losing-streak in which they've been outscored 92-41. Good timing for a bye week. -AD
23. Oakland Raiders (3-4): The Raiders are 30th in rushing, averaging 85 yards a game. Darren McFadden is either not producing or not getting enough touches. -RT
22. New Orleans Saints (2-5): The Saints defense has been atrocious this year but they might be in luck this week when they host the Eagles. -AD
21. New York Jets (3-5): The Jets will have a week to reflect on the beatdown Miami handed to them on Sunday. -RT
20. Washington Redskins (3-5): How convenient of Mike Shanahan to call this week's game against the Panthers (1-6) a must-win. Wonder what he will say if they lose. -AD
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-4): Tampa Bay can put up points, and with Oakland, San Diego and Carolina up next on their schedule the Bucs might make some noise. -RT
