After having their four game win streak broken by Babson college on the 27th, the Suffolk volleyball team was looking to get back on track against Saint Joseph’s College (Me.).

St. Joseph’s started off the match overpowering Suffolk winning the first set, 25-12. This first set win was a huge momentum boost for Saint Joseph’s and for the rest of the match.

In the start of the second game it looked as if St. Joseph’s was going to keep rolling and win the second game easily, but the Rams showed some resilience. After being down 8-2, the Rams went on a 9 to 3 run to tie up the game at 11. A huge part of that comeback was from five aces by Suffolk servers. Unfortunately, St. Joseph’s net play was too much for the Rams, as they lost the second game 25-20.

The third game showed the strength in this years' Rams Volleyball team. Suffolk and St. Joseph's traded points up until it was 15 all. St. Joseph’s made a run, getting to match point while the Rams were still at 17 points. But then the Rams rallied for a comeback, scoring on six match points to make the score 24-23. After a quick St. Joseph’s timeout, they came out and scored match point, ending the match. This loss puts the Rams at 8-8 on the season, while St. Joseph’s moves to 10-4.

Jennifer Duston lead the Rams in aces with 12, while Tori Brillaud lead the team in points (8), kills (8) and digs (20).

The Rams battled Lasell College later in the day.
