Hello everyone,
Suffolk University’s Hispanic Association is proud to announce its events for 2012 Hispanic Heritage Month! We hope that that you are all able to join us for the celebration of this month, whether you are Hispanic or not!
Cooking 101
SUHA is co-sponsoring Off-Campus Housing Office’s cooking 101. During this free cooking class you will learn the tricks of Hispanic cuisine. Not only will you learn how to cook, but you can also enjoy the free food afterwards! The class will be on Wednesday September 19th, from 5-7pm in the 7th floor of the Suffolk Law School.
Opening Ceremony
To kick off Hispanic Heritage Month we are going to be hosting Roy Germano, award winning filmmaker, author and speaker. He will be delivering a speech about salient and timely immigration issues as the 2012 election approaches. Join on Thursday, September 20th in Donahue 403 at 1pm.
SUHA Annual Food Fair
Come enjoy free food from all over the world! SUHA and other cultural organizations will be providing a taste of their culture. This event will be on Thursday, September 27th from 6:30-8:30 in the Donahue Cafe.
Salsa, Bachata and Merengue Night
Know how to dance? Want to learn how to dance? Come and brush up on your dance skills to be prepared for our Nuestra Cultura Party! This will be held on Thursday September 11th from 6-8pm in the Donahue Cafe.
